Philips Juicers and how to chose them

Juicing Recipe Books

Once you have a juicer you are going to want a source of good quality recipes. The king of the juice recipe book world is undoubtedly Jason Vale - self proclaimed "Juice Master". He discovered the power of juicing and has transformed the health of his own body and mind by having one or two fresh juices a day and adding a little exercise into his world.

I have Jason Vale books myself and am happy to recommend them to you.

"Keeping it Simple" is a good book to start with. It has over 100 juice and smoothie recipes to choose from. (A blender is needed for the smoothie recipes.)
"Slim for Life", subtitled "Freedom from the diet trap", is different from the other two diet focused books in that it aims to help you transform your diet into a fully healthy one. If you are overweight then you will loose weight (one lady lost 4 stone in 4 months), if you are not overweight then you will maintain a healthy weight but probably improve your complexion and feel much healthier.

"Juice Yourself Slim" is Jason's latest general book healthy eating (drinking?). It contains over 50 fantastic soups, juices, salads and smoothie recipes PLUS the Life Long Rules for Success that will help you maintain your health and- the big one- keep you slim for life.

Let the Juice Master help you discover delicious and simple recipes containing the ultimate super fuel for a super body and mind!

"7lbs in 7 Days" is an ultra-fast 1 week super juice cleanse. It is not a book full of recipes for all times, it is a book with just one purpose - to give you the juice diet you need to loose 7lbs in 7 days without damaging your health, only eating cabbage soup or any of the other crazy diets there are around.

Incidentally if you have this one then you don't need the 14 day book and vice-versa, otherwise you'll end up with a lot of repeated material.

"Turbo-charge Your Life in 14 Days". This is a 14 day diet plan with 30 raw energy recipes. It includes: -

  • no wheat,
  • no yeast,
  • 70% of your daily menu to be water-rich 'live' foods
  • not eating 3 hours before going to bed
  • exercising twice a day for 45-60 mins
  • 30 great recipes, including Green Veggie Power Soup, Turbo Salad, Protein Snack Attack and Green Power Smoothie.

In this book Jason tackles the most common excuses we use to let ourselves off the hook: 'I can't because...! I've got a slow metabolism! I don't have time!' and offers inspirational stories of people who have overcome giant obstacles to achieve their goal. This book will help you move from a dieting mentality to one where you focus on what you can have rather than what you think you can't have.
